Well not really "sort of." I have a job. It's just contract is all. Basically I'm doing spam mail designs for restaurants. Nothing too fancy, but I think (hope) it will pay enough to cover my student loan bills!!! So that's pretty cool. If you want to get emails about Santorini, Champps (Woodbury, Maplewood, and New Brighton), Jake O'Connor's, Lola's Lakehouse or O'Donovan's let me know and I can put you on the email lists! JK. I have some other one's too, but their in different states, so...you know....

So I've been pretty busy doing these emails. They send them out twice a month for each restaurant so the first and third weeks of the month are going to be very busy. I guess I'm also going to be doing some website designs for these people. Oh, Stone Castle Promotions is the name of the company I'm working with. They're pretty small and have only been around for a year or so but I guess things are going well for them.

On a side note, I've been messing with the bass I made, Fironica, and I got it sounding really sweet. I used to hate how it sounded, so I never used to play it, but now it sounds GREAT and I love playing it. Well, I'm excited anyway...

I'm FINALLY recording my album. I've been meaning to record all my songs for a VERY long time. I finally know how to use my recording equipment and I have the time. I think I'm going to call it "It's About Time." Maybe that's stupid though. I think it's kind of stupid. Anyway, it's going to sound awesome. Well, I'm done. The portfolio show was kind of a let down. I had a GREAT time, talking to people and showing off my stuff, but then it was over and I only talked to two employers! WTF?!?!?!?! AND I didn't win best in show. No big deal, but that would have been awesome. Although, I can't feel too bad because the guy who won had a really awesome portfolio. He used an old record album holder thing and put in a library card holder in the front and back that had his business cards in them and they were made to look like the library record cards. It was overall pretty sweet. But anyway, it WAS really fun, but over way too soon and kind of fruitless. Good practice for interviews though. Oh well, time to start the job search!!

Holy crap. I graduate tomorrow. I've been ready since last Friday. I was freaking out man. But, I did it! I was rush rush rushing and then all of a sudden...I was done! I guess I didn't really need to freak out. It did give me some time to fix a couple minor things on my website. So tomorrow is the portfolio show. 9 to noon, SW corner of Hennepin and 8th. I'm nervous. I don't think on my feet very well. I always fumble my words and such when I'm on the spot. Oh well, I'm sure I'll do well. I think I should go out and celebrate tomorrow night. Or maybe Saturday. Well, I need to have a party or something anyway. Although, it's all pretty silly since I already have a degree and I will quite possibly go back to school in six months anyway. Oh well!

Hi! I've decided to come back to this.

So my son is a year old now! How awesome is that?!?!?!?! SERIOUSLY!!!! I can't believe how fast that went!! I have an album at flickr you can check out if you want to. There are a few cute pictures there. So try not to barf. It's hard.

I have four weeks of school left!!!! Holy crap!!! I'm going crazy getting everything ready. All through school it's been like, well if I don't get it done this quarter I can do it next quarter. This is it though! No more quarters! So I have purchased www.erikroadfeldt.com but it might not be working yet. Also, it only forwards you to erportfolio.blogspot.com right now. But very soon it will be awesome. Anders is letting me use some of his server space so I just have to get set up with him. I have the site designed and ready to go though. I learned some actionscript this quarter. I love it. I think I might go back to school in a few months and get a web design degree. We'll see...

I'm pretty nervous about the portfolio show. I'm really bad at thinking on my feet, so interviews are not really my strong point and this show will be sort of like an interview. Well, I'll have to talk to possible employers anyway. I need to find an orange and red tie. All my self identity stuff is orange and red/maroon. So I either need to find an orange and red tie and wear my gray shirt, or just an orange tie and wear a maroon shirt. But then do I wear a jacket or not? I don't know...

I think being a stay at home dad has been pretty cool. I'm REALLY lucky that Munky has a job that she loves AND it pays well enough to keep us afloat. She's amazing. 23 and supporting a family all on her own and going to school full time at night. I need to do something special for her... Hmmm......

Okay, I think this is long enough for now, I'll probably come back later. Right now I have to eat some lunch!!! I'M HUNGRY!!!

Wow, school and work have been kicking my ass. I really don't have anything to say, I just wanted to get something new up here so my mom wouldn't be the first thing I see every time I check my page. Not that I don't want to see her, but ya know, it hurts a little bit. I really miss her.

Anywho, school is wicked crazy fun and someday I'd like to get a portfolio up here. Hopefully someday soon, so I can get a new job. I hate my job. School is really fun though, it's where I'm supposed to be.

Oh yeah, also, wedding planning is kicking my ass. Anybody know someone who is an ordained minister who is free 7-7-07 and would do a ceremony with no mention of God in it? Didn't think so. Well, good luck to us!?! Oh man, that's going to be a fun party. Everybody get ready to bowl! Woo hoo! Okay, I'm done with my crap for school tonight, I think I'll just go home now.

Our house is sweet. I think we're going to get spoiled there. It's all one level, no stairs at all, we can bring groceries in from the garage straight to the kitchen, all the doors are really wide so we can easily move furnature around and the layout is really open and big. I love it anyway.

I can't wait for school to start again, I need more projects.

I don't know if we're going to have a house warming party or anything, but if we do, anyone who reads this is invited. Email me if you want directions.

I don't know if anybody does read this anymore, but just in case, I should let people know that my mom is not doing that well and if anybody wants to see her, sooner would be better. Call first though, they have a lot of people coming over all the time and bringing food and stuff, but my mom needs rest and too many people over all at once can be too much for her. My dad is only working about 4 hours a day now so that he can stay home and take care of her. He is amazing. They always laugh and see the good side to everything. My mom can't really do ANYTHING anymore, so my dad does a lot. We have good neighbors who help a lot with food and such, and family and old friends are over there everyday to make sure someone is with my mom 24/7. At any rate, my mom is still the same person inside, she just looks a lot different and her short term memory is not so good. Neither are her reasoning skills.

Okay, well my break was over a little while ago so I better get back to work.

We close on our townhouse on Friday.

We move on Saturday.

I sit down with my Mom and share life stories on Monday.

And somewhere in all of this I have to get gifts for people?

I got too much on mind. It doesn't seem like much after I write it down, but each thing has a weight to it that goes deeper than what I've written. Well at any rate, I feel busy and stressed out. I need a vacation. Wait a minute, didn't I say there's no whining on this blog?!?!? Idiot!!!

Well, I haven't posted in a while. So I'm going to now. Um.....don't have much to say. Work sucks and it takes up all of my time. I hate that.

I still haven't heard much from the one lady about illustrating her children's book, so that's a bummer.

I'm going to apply for AI on Sunday, then we'll find out what all I would have to do to get a degree from that place.

Munky really really wants to get our tattoos that I designed, so we'll see about that...

Munky loves her new job, and I'm jealous....well not really. BUT I am really happy for her!

Wow. Work sucks. It's like working on a production line basically. AND, I found out that I don't really like traffic very much at all. Oh well. I have health care and I get paid on holidays. That makes me happy. BUT, I am so looking forward to starting at AI and getting a graphic design degree. I don't think it will matter where I am then, it will be way better than this. Hey, anybody need a job? We need more skip tracers!?!?!

Okay, one good thing though. There is a woman here who is working on a series of children's books and happens to need an illustrator. She said she'd call me next week. I can't wait, I've been wanting to illustrate a children's book for while now. That's a pretty sweet coincidence. I don't think I spelled that right. Okay, break time is over. Not really though, I'm just tired of typing.

Holy crap I haven't been here in a while. Okay, so I started my new job. I think I should probably not say where I work online. This place has some strict information flow policies. Anyway, I am a skip tracer. The first day we just filled out paper work and the like. Today, we started training. Oh, I started at the same time as someone else so they're training us together. Anywho, I do the detective work for the debt collectors. I just verify phone numbers and addresses, or find them if needed, and locate all assets that the debtors have. The only time I have to call someone is when I'm verfiying a number or employment. AND, if I get ahold of someone who is not the debtor who wants to know what I'm calling about I get to say, "I'm sorry, I'm not at liberty to discuss that with you." That is going to be fun I think. Aparently people can be real assholes about it too. And if they say, "So sue me!" I get to say, "Yes sir," or perhaps, "will do cap'n."

Today I learned how to read a credit report and what things we look for when reading them. It's interesting what we can figure out from a credit report. It sucks that my trainer is kind of a bitch and not personable at all. She's really annoying. But learning is fun!

So now I get benefits and stuff, and that will be nice to be able to go get my teeth cleaned in January. We have to punch an actual time card there too. That is so strange. On top of that we have to punch in and out on the computer. I guess they're gearing up to switch over soon. I finnally got my key card today to. But it doesn't work yet. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get in. The space has a really weird setup that makes me have to use my card key to go to the bathroom, 10 feet from my desk. Or I can go the long way around. I really hope my key works tomorrow.

Anyway, I don't know what else to say right now. I'm going to continue surfing the intertron.

I've been hired!!

Okay, I'm suprised by how little I am on the computer when I have nothing to to all day at home. Well, I guess I have been going to job fairs and interviews and what not. Well anyway, I got myself a new job. I don't start until Dec. 13th though, so I don't know what I'm going to do until then. Oh well, I'll find something. Other good news, Munky was able to get unemployment, so that will help until I start for sure. So yeah, now I'm a Skip Tracer. I don't know exactly what it is yet, but it's like doing the detective work for debt collectors. I guess I'll be checking phone numbers and addresses to make sure they're the ones that need to be hounded for money. I don't actually do the hounding, just the data gathering. Also, they're crazy strict about the internet there, so that should help me stay on track. Although, Bre is the one who told me they're strict, and in my job it sounds like I'll be using the internet a lot for searches and such, so maybe my department would not be so strict. Damn. Oh well. Oh, and I should say that Bre, my future sister-in-law, works at the law firm I'll be working at. I don't remember what it's called right now. I'll post that later. Well, this should be interesting. I don't know what the hell I'm doing, but they hired me, and they'll train me. One interview! And they called me the next day! Can you believe that?! I think that guy really liked me. I did a good job. Interviewing anyway. We'll see about the Skip Tracing. Okay, shower time!

Well, I think I am addicted to boobies, and it got me fired. Munky has volunteered to help me with this problem. She has boobies she would be willing to let me play with all of the time.

So, this is probably the kick in the butt I needed and I'm out looking for jobs full time now. If anyone knows of any job openings please let me know, and I can assure you that my problem will be nipped in the bud.

Moral of the story is, don't look at boobies at work. Also, don't get bored.

UPDATE: Okay, hold on. I've tried many things, but nothing seems to be working. I think the pictures are just too big. Winkflash probably needs a login, blogger doesn't tell me what's wrong, and flickr tells me they're too big. Okay, I finally put up some freaking pictures of our halloween party and some from the pumpkin carving the next day. I finally got access to Munky's winkflash account. I figured since she's going to upload the pictures there everytime anyway, I might as well use those pictures to post. Flickr only allows so many uploads per month, and so do most other free sites. She's going to buy pictures from winkflash, so why not get a two-fer out of it? I can only hope the pictures stay up there for a long time. Have you ever spoken and wished that you could immediately take the words back or that you could crawl into a hole? Here are the testimonials of a few people who did...

I walked into a hair salon with my husband and three kids in tow and asked loudly, "How much do you charge for a shampoo and a blow job?" I turned around and walked back out and never went back. My husband didn't say a word. He knew better.

I was at the golf store comparing different kinds of golf balls. I was unhappy with the women's type I had been using. After browsing for several minutes, I was approached by one of the good- looking gentlemen who works at the store. He asked if he could help me. Without thinking, I looked at him and said, "I think I like playing with men's balls."

My sister and I were at the mall and passed by a store that sold a variety of candy and nuts. As we were looking at the display case, the boy behind the counter asked if we needed any help. I replied, "No, I'm just looking at your nuts." My sister started to laugh hysterically, the boy grinned, and I turned beet-red and walked away. To this day, my sister has never let me forget.

While in line at the bank one afternoon, my toddler decided to release some pent-up energy and ran amok. I was finally able to grab hold of her after receiving looks of disgust and annoyance from other patrons. I told her that if she did not start behaving "right now" she would be punished. To my horror, she looked me in the eye and said in a voice just as threatening, "If you don't let me go right now, I will tell Grandma that I saw you kissing Daddy's pee-pee last night!" The silence was deafening after this enlightening exchange. Even the tellers stopped what they were doing. I mustered up the last of my dignity and walked out of the bank with my daughter in tow. The last thing I heard when the door closed behind me were screams of laughter!!

Have you ever asked your child a question too many times? My three-year-old son had a lot of problems with potty training and I was on him constantly. One day we stopped at Taco Bell for a quick lunch and it was very busy, with a full dining room. While enjoying my taco, I smelled something funny, so of course I checked my seven-month-old daughter, and she was clean. Then I realized that Danny had not asked to go potty in a while, so I asked him if he needed to go, and he said, "No." I kept thinking, "Oh Lord, that child has had an accident, and I don't have any clothes with me." Then I said, "Danny, are you SURE you didn't have an accident?" "No," he replied. I just KNEW that he must have had an accident, because the smell was getting worse. Soooooo, I asked one more time, "Danny, did you have an accident?" This time he jumped up, yanked down his pants, bent over and spread his cheeks and yelled. "SEE MOM, IT'S JUST FARTS!!" While 30 people nearly choked to death on their tacos laughing, he calmly pulled up his pants and sat down. An old couple made me feel better by thanking me for the best laugh they'd ever had!

This had most of the state of Michigan laughing for 2 days and a very embarrassed female news anchor who will, in the future, likely think before she speaks. What happens when you predict snow but don't get any? This is a true story. We had a female news anchor, who, the day after it was supposed to have snowed and didn't, turned to the weatherman and asked: "So Bob, where's that 8 inches you promised me last night?" Not only did HE have to leave the set, but half the crew did too!

There now, wasn't that funny?!! Whatever, I though it was. I was only trying to give you a laugh, geeze, can ya blame a guy for trying?! Whatever! JERK!

Yesterday was our 1 year anniversary. I got her FOURTH engagement ring over my lunch break. I had Jeffrey's Jewelers make it for me, but I designed it. Then we went to the Tap Root/Chevelle show for her Rock and Roll history class. That was interesting. Black Maria sounded awful and looked like tools. Tap Root actually sounded pretty sweet, for metal. The singer somehow got up on the balcony in the Quest and sang for a while whilst hanging off the railing, then he jumped out into the croud and they caught him and threw him back up on stage. That was pretty sweet. I didn't know their drummer did the back up vocals for the shows. That was amazing. He was working really freaking hard, I don't know how the hell he could hold those long notes and drum at the same time, and he did it well. Anyway, we left after Chevelle played three songs. We were all rocked out. Chevelle was loud, and bright, and they didn't really talk to the audience at all. I like it when the band gets more personal. They had really nifty big light deallies though. Those were cool. Oh yeah, Munky's white-blond streaks in her hair glowed slightly in the black light. They glowed green though, so that was kinda cool. Then some guy that smelled like a skunk sat down next to me.

Now that really burns my ass when they do that. The first time I got something like this it was on some dating site like three years ago and I thought she was for real. Her note was not as blatent as this one, but I am pretty gullible. So anyway, ever since then I've made it a point to send notes back to these stupid jerks explaining to them why they are bitches. Kickballlllll!!!!!!!!!

Okay, we totally rocked it hardcore with kickball this season. We were undefeated! Completely and utterly undefeated. In fact, the last game we played, we beat the chumps 24 to 3. We scored half those runs in the first inning. Then we all just kind of quit trying and had fun, and the ump kind of took a lot of pitty on the other team. When your that far ahead, they call the game after four innings, but the other team wanted to play some more so we played five innings. We all took different positions in the field than we normally do. That was fun. I did some goofing pitching and then Jeremy, the guy that catches everything in the outfield, bumped a fly ball to Adam who then set the ball to Brian who was not really paying attention, but caught the ball anyway. That was the funniest thing I've ever seen on a kickball field. It was really cocky too. I felt really bad for the other team, but man was that funny. So yeah, if anyone wants to join the team next year, I think there might be some room. We will probably need girls though. You're supposed to have at least four girls on your team, but Lisa and Vegas are aparently moving to California. Lame! So, um, that's all I have, I guess. Okay BYE!

Well, I'm feeling a little better now. What's really lame though is that even though I didn't get the job, I'm still doing it. In order to keep my 38 bitch ass hours (with no benefits) I have to continue to back up the graphics tech. It's either that or get another part time job at some gas station or something. At least I like doing the work I get to do here. It just kind of shoves the knife in a little deaper every time I do some graphics or programming work, that's all. So, anyway, back to being the lowly old lab tech again. I'm really sick of that job. So now, on to the job searching. If anybody knows of a graphics postion opening at their place of business, I would be interested. Or any jobs that would require a math degree. I don't know what the shit to do with that thing. Okay, lunch time!

Okay, I think I might go vomit. I'm really angry. But I'm not letting it out. I'm still at work and I don't want to blame anybody for what happened, so I'd rather not burn bridges and take it out on them. I didnt' get the fucking job. I think I'm going to leave early and go break something. SON OF A BITCH!!!!!!!!! The worst part is that they did pick someone else here at Computype. I was thinking before that it they went with somebody here I'd be super pissed, but they went with Michelle, and I can't be mad at her. She's nice and will probably do a fine job. She works in Digitek right now, which is where the digital printers are, so because she has experience on the floor, they went with her.

Well, I learned a lot in the last eight stupid months anyway. But now I'm shit out of luck. I've got no job and a bunch of shit to pay for. I'm going to go job hunting now. This sucks.

I had a caricature job on Sunday. It was down in Marshall, MN. Google said it would take about 4 hours to get there. My Grandma was also working the same job so we decided to carpool. My grandparents have friends down there so my Grandpa came too and played golf with Wayne while Grandma and I drew. So, since their tee-time was at 11:00, and the job was at 11:30, we decided to start driving at 7:00am. Well that meant I got up at 5:30am to get from New Brighton down to my grandparents house in South Minneapolis by 6:45. Okay, that all went fine, we made it down to Marshall in three hours and were rediculously early. Better safe than sorry though. Then finally, we went to work. We got to the park a little early and decided to start early and take longer breaks during our shifts. The party was for Schwann's, they're headquartered down there. I pretty much just worked straight through for the five hours, well actually, five and a half, because I started early and finished a little late. I only took one maybe 10 minute break. I didn't even get any freakin ice cream! Oh well. Then I had to go do dinner with my grandparents and their friends. I don't mind a free dinner at all, but I really kind of wanted to get back home. So, we dawdled for an hour, then finally ate, which took another hour, and then finally hit the road at 7:30. Now, I was tired and my Grandma offered to drive, so I figured I'd just curl up in the back seat and not worry about her driving my car, in the dark, with only one eye. But, Grandpa stole the back seat from me, so I basically drove from the passenger seat for the next three hours. I think we almost died three times. Once when she was putting her visor on and the car swerved into the other lane with oncoming traffic and she pulled it back just before being crushed by a large Dodge truck of some sort, once when we nearly missed an exit and crossed those white lines you're not supposed to cross and very nearly drove over the median at 50 mph, and last when we were driving on roads under construction in the dark and she couldn't see the lines and was swerving all over the road.

At any rate, I did finally make it home alive, with my bowls still intact mind you, at no later than 10:50pm, where I hugged and kissed my beautiful fiance and was happy to be alive. Good lord what a long day that was. But, to make up for it, I hear we're getting 140 for travel time and mileage on top of the 40/hour for five hours, meaning that I'll get 340 buckaroos for my troubles. I'm not complaining.

She has to work mornings, but when she gets home we are going to do nothing. Movie nights and slumber parties in the living room.

I still don't know anything about my freakin job. Maybe I'll find something out next week. I have a really bad feeling I'm not going to get it. Really bad. Why would it take them a week to think about it unless somebody else interviewed way better than I did. I'm boned. Oh well.

Engagement Party

Well our engagement party was fun too. Even though none of our friends could make it. Actually, it was really more for the families to meet each other anyway. I think it would've been weird for our friends. Laura, Adam and Luis did come though, and I think they had fun. Our families had fun. My dad is awsome. He mingled with absolutely everbody at that party, I was impressed. I can't believe people brought gifts though! I think I'll never have a party where I can actually get people to NOT bring gifts. I like cards though, people had some really nice things to say in their cards. Well, it was good food and company, and I don't think Dave went too crazy. I love my fiance, I think she's a wonderful woman and my new family isn't too bad either. Thanks to everyone who came and brought a gift, thanks to everyone who came and didn't bring a gift, and thanks to everyone who couldn't make it and let me know.

Valleyfair

We went to Vallyfair yesterday. That was pretty fun. I'm real tired today now. Probably just because I didn't sleep. I've never really been one to go on rides. The biggest roller coaster I've ever been on is the cork skrew. Even that little hill would creep me out. I'm mildly afraid of hights. I don't mind the spinning and the upside down and stuff, just the hills. When I initially start falling there is a pain in my bladder area making the experience very uncomfortable. I didn't get on any rollercoasters yesterday, but I did get on the power tower. We only did the one that shoots you up. I'm working up to doing the one that drops you. I only experienced the pain from falling for about a second or two on the initial fall when we reached the top. The rest was blissfull floating. That was a fun ride. I remember when the pirate ship was brand new and all my friends liked it alot. I never went on it until yesterday. That was really fun also. The clouds looked amazing when we were upside down. We went down thunder canyon and Munky and I were the ones who went directly underneath the one big waterfall. She said she'd never been soaked on that ride. Well now she has. I didn't remember how hard that wave hits you when you go across the bridge after riding the wave. Holy crap that water hits you hard! I wasn't prepared for it and it nearly nocked me down! We blew 46 bucks trying to win a giant monkey. That was a disapointment. We did get a nice bouquet of fuzzy hands and feet though. Oh well, we'll get it next time. Anyway, Vallyfair was pretty fun, I think it had been about ten years since the last time I'd been there. I like the power tower.

Finally got pretty much all my shit out of my old apartment. I'm going there tonight to clean out the fridge, vaccum one more time and take the last of the food. If anybody needs dishes, glasses, tupperware or cookware let me know, I have some extras.

Finally have my job interview set up for Friday. I can't wait to get this overwith and have full time pay and health benefits. Blarg!!

We'll be getting cable, internet and a phone on Thursday. I'll call everone and let you know our new home phone number. Also, after we get internet I'll post a crap load of pictures. It's way less hassle than bringing the pics to work and doing it.

I'm Back!!!!

Okay, I'm back from Canada! Wait. I'm not excited about that. One week was not long enough. I love it up there. Holy crap was that relaxing. I want to go back. I just sat around, picked and ate some blueberries, played my guitar, drew some pictures, watched the most beautiful sunsets, smoked my pipe, bathed in the lake and bonded more with my beautiful fiance everday for a week. Why can't life be like that? Oh, it was beautiful. I would suggest that everyone go buy a 3 acre(okay, it's a little bigger than I thought) island in the lake of the woods and build a cabin or two on it, but then the feeling of seclusion would be nonexistant. That would be lame. I tell you, there is nothing like standing naked in a cold and ginormous lake in the middle of relatively nowhere. I love it. Munky loved it every bit as much as I do. It sounds like my great aunt Lois will be giving the cabin to her grandson (my second cousin) Henry, and he'll probably have no idea what the hell to do with it. So, my dad figures we could set up some sort of trust or something so that all of those who want to can have a piece of the pie and eat it too. That way it stays in the family, and no single family is burdened with it alone. I think this is a good plan. Hopefully it will pan out. Then we shall have some fun parties or something up there. Yes, yes we shall.......

The Great White North

I'm finally going back to Canada. It's been a while since I've been up there. For any of you who don't know, my great aunt owns an island in the Lake of the Woods, just on the Canada side, and she has a cabin on that we go to every once in a while. It's not a large island, only an acre I think, but it has about 10 feet of sandy beach and almost no other cabins near it. It might be my most favorite place in the world. When I was five or so my parents had taken me to the cabin and to Disney World and then asked me which one I would like to go to next year, but I could only pick one. I picked the cabin. I was five and picked Canada over Disney World. That's how much I love that place. I love it more than Disney World. I hope Munky loves it as much as I do. Actually, maybe not, because my aunt is old and can't take care of the place anymore so she's probably going to get rid of it soon and then I'll never be able to go back ever again. I wouldn't want her to love it as much as I do and then have to live with the pain of only having been there once. At least I've had my fill of the place. Enough to make life long memories. So at any rate, I'll be gone from the 3rd to the 10th of August, so no blogging. Even though I don't think anybody comes here that often, I figured I should let everybody know.

Oh yeah, I suppose I could say something about Bre's birthday this last weekend, as long as I'm on here. It was a good suprise party, she had no idea. I had a blast and I'm sure everybody else had some fun also. All I have to say is, I saw a lot of nipples and I know I wasn't drunk enough to be showing mine, but I did anyway. Ahhhhhh, good times, good times.

I don't want to delete the post below, but I don't want it on top anymore.

Okay, so the Happy Dagger CD release party was last Tuesday, that was freaking sweet. Those guys are awsome. The CD rocks, if you don't have one I recomend finding one and purchasing it. I think the best way to experience Happy Dagger though is to see them in concert. They play with so much more energy and feeling. They also go off on crazy riffs that they make up on the spot. It's amazing to watch and listen to. The Dinkytown Theater is freaking sweet. That was a nice venue to play in. Those were the best sounding drums I've ever heard. The sound system is really good there and the sound guy must know how to do his job. They also have beds. That was fun and comfortable.

This last weekend was the scrapbooking weekend retreat deal. That was pretty fun. Munky had two books from a long time ago that she wanted to redo so we worked furiously on those for the whole weekend. The power went out during the huge storm. It was out for six hours, so that sucked. We couldn't work because it was too dark inside. Luckily there were skylights in an upstairs room so we moved all our shit up there. That was a pain in the ass, but we got some more pages done. The house was really nice. It had a very interesting layout and neat rooms in it. There was this one lady who was really annoying and creapy though. And her daughter was a total rich-bitch. Other than those two everyone was fun.

I also have some bad news. My mom has another tumor. This one is wrapped around her spine at her neck and is not removable. She's doing radiation right now to shrink the tumor and she's on steroids to help with the pain the tumor causes. The steroids make her feel really powerful and sharp minded, and she's going nuts with planning her life out and making things happen. It's kind of funny. She has a good attitude toward everything and is just going to keep living everyday the way she wants to. She is not terminal yet, but there's nothing anyone can do about this tumor and it will become terminal eventually. We just don't know when. I'm going to miss her. She sends out mass emails to update friends and family, if anyone would like to be on it let me know.

Well that's the last few weeks for me.

UPDATE: NEVERMIND, well, it's true that I have good friends anyway. The rest is all based on incorrect assumtions, so ignore it.

You know, I had some really good friends in highschool. We've all grown apart and gone our seperate ways in the last few years. Some have hard feelings for one another and some don't. Some have the courtesy to let eachother know how they feel, some have troubles expressing their emotions I guess. Well this seems like a good forum for expressing emotions so here's how I feel: I still consider all of my highschool friends to be good friends and I will always love and respect them. We had a lot of good times and I miss them when time and space grows between us. "King Sipidation", if you ever decide to tell me how you feel, I'll be here listening. I don't know what I did to cheese you off, but I'm sorry, I truely am, I didn't mean to do it, not on purpose anyway. You know, whatever the reason is that you want nothing to do with me, I'll understand and respect your wishes. I am a "bleading-heart-liberal" afterall. What I don't understand is why you have to lie about it.

If I never see you again I would just like to say that I'll miss you man, and I wish you all the best in life. You know what, I'll even go so far as to say I love you man. See you around.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Okay, it's Tuesday of the next week and I still haven't gotten those pictures up. Well, I will. I swear it. Anyway, I just finished reading both "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator" today. I read the former yesterday and started the latter yesterday as well and just finished it now. Literally a minute before I started typing this. They're crazy books. Crazy I tell you. I'm really stoked to see the new movie. The book is way different than the old movie staring Gene Wilder. Wonka has a go-t in the book. He doesn't in either of the movies. In the book the golden-chocolate-egg-laying-swans are actually nut-cracking-squirrels, which is also what they are in the new movie, so that makes me think maybe this movie is more like the book. The scenery looks amazing in the new one also. Well I can't wait anyway. It comes out this Friday and I think Munky and I will go. Hey guess what though........NOBODY CARES!!!!!!

Fun Weekend

Munky and I went to Como Zoo and the taste of Minnesota this weekend. Actually, we went to these things on Sunday. We had a fun day and we took lots of pictures. I'll get those up as soon as I get the chance. We got some reall neat pictures of fireworks and stuff. We had some Cajun flavored cheese kurds and a bucket of fries and some free Bridgeman's icecream. Bre's best friend Laura's Uncle owns a Bridgeman's and was at the booth so he gave us some free cones. They were good. I like free stuff. At the zoo there were these crazy little monkey things with fu man chus and they ran around like they were nuts. We got pictures. I left them all at home today though so I can't put them up now, but hopefully I'll remember to put those on my jump drive tonight and bring them in tomorrow.

On a side note, the Chipotle is open in St. Anthony and I'm pumped. I went there five days of last week. I think I burned myself out a little bit though, so now I'll slow down, but holy crap is it nice to have one so close now. I might go there for dinner tonight. Chipotle is good, you should go read about it. They have some very interesting information on their site.

Unleashed in Madagascar

We saw "Unleashed" on Memorial Day. I don't think I'm a Jet Li fan. I think he is actually a decent actor, and a really good martial artist, but his movies are kind of lame. The intro fight scene was freakin sweet. He head butted some guy's fist. That was awesome. He really looked like a fighting dog in that scene, just goin at it like nobody's business. Then it was about 45 minutes of sap. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like sap, but this was really sappy, and not that well done. Morgan Freeman was good, of course, but the emotion just wasn't there. They could have delved into the psychological aspect of the plot, but then there would be no room for fight scenes. I guess I was thinking it would've been more of a vengeful unleashing and less of a happy freedom unleashing. I couldn't really enjoy the second big fight scene though because I had to pee really really bad. Maybe that one was good also, I'm not sure.

Okay, I think "The Incredibles" is quite possibly my favorite movie, but "Madagascar" was quite funny. The little furry fuzzballs were real cute. I like to move it move it. I like to move it move it. I like to move it move it. You like to......move it. It was a pretty dumb movie, but funny. The penguins were hilarious. But then again, penguins are just intrinsically funny.

I've been playing Zelda a lot lately. Probably way too much. Especially since I'm playing it at work. That's bad. I really hate the original Zelda. I find it way too freakin hard to stay alive. Those little buggers move way too fast. My fingers just aren't that quick. I'm playing it anyway because it's just one of those games that you really should beat at least once in your life. That Super Mario Brothers. Everyone should beat those games at least once in their lives. I started playing "Zelda: Link's Awakening", but I can only play it online and I can't save my game. I like it way better than "The legend of Zelda" though. Of course, the 3D games are crazy fun. If I didn't have a woman, I think I'd just play Zelda all the time. At least while I wasn't playing my guitars. Where the hell did all my time go?

Kickball. Munky and I joined a kickball league along with her sister Bre and her sort of boyfriend Louis. Our first two games were this last Sunday. It was fun. Now my shins hurt. I didn't get on base, during the game anyway, but I did make some nice catches. We lost the first game 5-3, and won the second game 2-zip. The first game loss was my fault. If I had picked up the ball and stopped play that guy wouldn't have run to third and gotten his team on a roll. He also wouldn't have twisted his ankle sliding into third and had to leave the game. Luckily our team didn't get any injuries until after the games. Munky ran over Louis' foot as we were leaving the parking lot. She thought she heard is door close but didn't check to make sure he was in and she just started to drive off. Then Louis yelled and leaned over clutching his foot. He was laughing though. Christ my shins are sore though. At least I stretched before the game, I think I would have been really sore if I hadn't. I don't know if anyone wants in but I think the team we joined is pretty full. Maybe next year we could get a bunch of us together to make our own team. That would be fun.

Hey everybody, guess what! I got a new chair at work! I've been sitting in something that was probably brand new when the company started back in the 70's. It is kind of crappy now. So I talked to the one guy and he got me a new chair. I got the same one I have at home because it's the most comfortable chair I've ever sat in. Now, it doesn't look like much, but I tell you that the back really conforms to your shape and supports your entire back. It's pretty sweet. If I remember to bring my camera in I will take a picture of mine. Okay, now I'm going to go find the links I need to stink in this post. Hold on. I now you've already seen them, but I haven't gotten them at this time so just hold your goddamn horses. Okay, there, I've made all the words chair be links to the O-Max website. That's where I got the chair. I'm sitting in it right now. It's sweet. Okay, I'm going to find some work to do. Oh yeah, and a fantastically happy birthday to Sipidation!!!!!!

I changed some things on the blog. You have to guess what they are. It's not hard, though you might find one and miss the other.

We had a fun BBQ at Sip's yesterday, hope to have more this summer. A bit cold though. It will be more fun to sit out in the back drinkin beers and grillin meat.

I want to start up a poker night again too, but I don't know if we can get enough people to come. I would imagine that Zach and Matt would be there, but it seems like we should have at least one more person. I figured also it might be more fun if we each put in $4.50 and then each white chip would be worth half a cent, red would be 2.5 cents and blue 5 cents. That would make the playing more interesting I think. Just an idea anyway. I'm going to go eat lunch now.

I didn't post yesterday, and I again forgot to take a picture of the bean bag chair. I think it's funny that we still call it a bean bag chair even though it has no beans in it. Only foam. No beans. None. Not even one bean. There are two zippers though. And two bags. The inner one actually lays out to be a queen size bed. The outer one is simply a corderoy ball. They both have zippers though. But no beans. Happy Earth day!

Bean Bag Chair!

We bought a "bean bag chair" the other day. It's sweet. It's actually full of foam rubber though. It's relatively comfortable, but how cool is it to have a giant sack of foam to jump on, huh? I'm stoked. I'll take a picture of it tonight.

I finally bought new sandles. I've had those same sandles for the last six years. They smelled really bad for the last 3, I think. They were very comfortable though, so I wanted to find something similar, and I found the exact same ones. Munky and I went to the mall to get some stuff and we passed a payless and a footlocker and other various shoe stores but we were going to get my sandles on the way out. On the way out we passes a Pac Sun, which is where I got my old sandles, back when it was called "Pacific Sunwear". We went straight to the back and I saw them right away and said, "yep, those are them". They were marked on sale from $50 to $40, which is what I got them for six years ago, then when I got them to the register they rang up at $30, so I got them for $10 cheaper than I did six years ago. These ones are slightly different, they've got red on them and more E logos, but I think I actually like them more, so that's good. I'm pleased anyway. I'll put a picture up at my picture blog.

I don't want to post about how blogger sucked yesterday. Everybody already knows I'm sure. I guess I could say that I got the pictures sort of working now. Hello just kind of stopped working for me. Does anybody know how much stuff you can upload to a geocities page? I kind of like the looks of the blogger page better and I don't like working with the geocities page so I'm just using it to store the pictures. Is there a limit to how many geocities pages you can have? I don't know. I think I'll just give up.

Holy crap my sandles smell bad. Jeeze-zuss! I think I'll try Fabreezing them again and if that doesn't work I'll just have to buy new ones. I've had these sandles for about six years now though. I can't get rid of them now!! They're just a little smelly, they're still good, they're still good!

On a side note, my moustache is being a total DICK today. I figured maybe I'll use just a smidge of wax to get it inline, but then I can never use just a smidge of wax, and on top of that it didn't even fix the problem. I washed out all the wax and just soaked it in water and I think it's at least semi-in-order now. Don't even get me started on my mohawk either.

On the bright side, it's nice out and I have shorts, shortleeves and sandles on. Sweeeeeeeet.

Enough whining! Back to funness. Ummmm.....I got nothin.

So it looks like Munky is going to get Larie kicked out of the apartment. It's really weird because it sounds like Larie agrees with everything that Munky tells her, but she just doesn't keep it in her head for more than 2 minutes and then she does what Patrick wants. I don't get it. I think she's gone bonkers. She knows that Patrick is not worth her time, she knows that it's not a "going to last forever" type of relationship, but she loves him. I don't know. Apparently Munky is usually the one who tells her how to handle situations, and she asks her what to do, but doesn't do what anyone, including Munky, tells her she should do, which is fine, it's up to her, but stop asking, no one is going to tell you what you want to hear, you know? I have no idea why I'm writing all this by the way. She keeps using the argument that I get to stay over all the time, so why can't Patrick, which is valid, but the bottom line is that Larie and Munky have made an agreement to live together, they need to agree on house rules, they've made a commitment to each other and it's between the two of them to make it work. If Larie doesn't want me there anymore, I'm gone, but she never says she doesn't want me there, she only sees the other side, if I'm there then Patrick should be there, but equally if Munky doesn't want Patrick there, he should be gone. Their relationships outside of the apartment mean nothing to the goings on inside the apartment. That is their place of residence, they make the rules, they need to live together. If one or the other doesn't feel comfortable in their own home, something needs to change. All right, I'm done with this now. That was fun.....I guess.

I can't believe I forgot to post yesterday. That's lame. Well, APQP training sucked again, only not so much as last time. Then I messed around with my family picture in photoshop for a while. That was fun. Maybe I'll post it. That would be lame. I am soooo going to do that now. Because I am lame. Oh, lame is me.

Just as a side note, I'm also really quite lame. Just in case you were wondering, and I know you were, don't try to deny it, you sheep loving bastard! You love sheep, and I'm lame. There's nothing we can do about it. We might as well just give up entirely. There's no use fighting it.
